‘Closer’ is home to transcendent atmospherics, kicked off by a warming introduction featuring Lottie Jones’ delicate vocals and a flurry of soothing synths. It’s not long before anticipatory arpeggios and rolling breakbeats set in, crescendoing into a full-throttle uplifting drum & bass banger.

Whilst Fred V and Lottie Jones are no strangers to crafting anthems in the studio together, boasting tracks such as ‘Atmosphere’, ‘Radiate’, ‘Homesick’ and ‘Proximity’, DNMO’s unique production style is a welcomed twist on ‘Closer’. With a healthy selection of hit singles under his belt including ‘Bombalaya’ with Wolfy Lights on UKF, ‘Sick Of You’ and ‘Broken’ with Sub Urban on Deadbeats, alongside other releases spanning remarkable imprints such as Monstercat and UKF spanning over 170M+ streams, this was always set to be a momentous collaboration.

This is in my opinion by far the most superior of all your work. I can hear a lot of influence from Pendulum in here. I’d almost go so far to say this album is a spiritual successor to their album Emersion. I do hope more collaborations with ShockOne will happen some day. reckneya
